Times change

Well I havent really done what I thought I was going to do with this blog yet! I created it for posting all the pictures of my travels but I havent found the time to do that yet! But they will come! Promise. Currently I am no longer on my beautiful vacation, I returned home two nights ago. My travels were fantastic.
We flew into London, stayed there for 5 nights, then went to Bayeux France! Beautiful place! Then  we went to Paris! I absolutely love Paris! That was my favorite place to be the whole 3 weeks! Then we went to Florence Italy! But in Italy its spelled completely different, and I dont understand why we spell it this way. Its spelled something like Frienze... I totally spelled it wrong but you get the picture :P Then after two days there we went to Rome! Such an old and historic place! I had a lot of fun getting to know about old Rome and new Rome and I was in Rome for the new Pope! SO AWESOME! We went to the Vatican on Monday and then Papa Francis became pope the next day! Its not like i met him or anything but its cool to be able to say I've been where he got made into the Pope. It was crazy to go into the Vatican museum and see all of the extravagance. It makes me think a lot about religion, and it also makes me glad not to be Catholic. But i like Catholic's I just dont like how much they are indulged in worldly goods and such. It just seems like a big show to me and not actually believing and following Christ.
I have also decided that this blog of mine will be my new MAIN blog! YAY, not that anyone actually cares about what I write because my blog is like not known to anyone... hahaha... but Its kind of like my own "therapy" if you will. I absolutely love photography, I love poetry, and I love singing, and this is a place that I can share it with at least some people who end up stumbling upon my blog some how. I am also very religious, and that is something that I havent really shared about my life on the internet too much, but I have a desire in my heart to really start sharing more about my faith with the world. So just for now I will tell you all that I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, now that is the very long name, its known around the world as the Mormon church or the LDS church. Easier to say then that mouthful.
Just a cool tidbit about my church-- so you know how the south park creators are making a movie out of the play "the book of mormon" well my church doesnt care about it, its funny to make fun of yourself! But so my church put ads in the playbooks that say So you saw the Play, now Read the Book. Isn't that funny and creative! I dont understand why people actually believe the shiz the play says about mormons... Its south park, parts of it are true but you know you cant believe everything they tell you, otherwise you're probably pretty stupid. And Its also dumb to get upset about our church being made fun of, its just a joke. And you know everyone is entitled to different views and opinions thats what makes like interesting! So live a little and laugh about anything and everything!

with love, Arie

Bonjour!

I have been so tired everynight after the days activities that I haven't given thought into updating my blog and putting up pictures of all of the marvelous sights we have seen, we are no longer in London, it was a great time and a super cool place to go and visit, but France is by far better. And that is where we are now! For the past couple days we have been staying at this magnificent hotel in Bayeux France that is lovely, the people here are sweet and kind, and not rude to us as the dumb Americans we can be sometimes. Like how we got lost trying to arrive at the hotel and spent an hour driving around this little town searching for it when the whole time it was less then 5 minutes away, or how we don't know French and to speak to people I have a tiny French book that has important phrases and sayings and words that we need to know to get things done. Hopefully by the end of our stay in France we will know enough French to communicate with people a little more clearly. So far in Bayeux we have walked around the beautiful little town and taken lots of pictures, eaten a delicious dinner that everyone would drool over, and me and my mum have spent quality time talking and hanging out with each other. I think France is my favorite European country, I would love spending many years here, and exploring the countryside even further because it is beautiful beyond words, plus the food is always amazing!
Soon there will be pictures posted and you all will be caught up to speed on the journey we are on. :D

from the eye

LONDON!

Today we arrived around 7-8 in the morning UK time, which would be like 1-2 a.m. my time in North Carolina! Of course I end up getting sick and not feeling well before we take off from New York, being on planes for 12 hours in one day isn't the best thing for ones health. Luckily I managed to not throw up the whole time! Yay me! :P When we arrived in London it was still dark and dreary, I was hoping the whole time that today would not be rainy and gross, and it wasn't  Score! The taxi drive to our hotel was awesome, I had my face glued to the window the whole time and I was mesmerized by all my surroundings, first of all London has so much history, and everything is so much fun to look at, second there is just so much going on!  It is defiantly a very busy place, third, I love cars and exotic cars and this place is full of them, when we passed the Aston Martin car store along with Lambo's, Ferrari's and pretty much every other exotic European car you could dream of, my mouth was gaping open with envy. So when we finally arrived at our hotel, I took a shower, and took a 3 hour nap, the jet lag is pretty bad jumping 6 hours ahead in time plus taking a red eye flight. Today has been amazing, we went walking around the area around our hotel, we went to the Victoria station, rode some buses around Westminster, and went to ride the London Eye, and I took a bunch of pictures! Which will be posted along with this blurb that I am writing. Unfortunately the SIM cards we purchased for our phones didnt end up working, but oh well, at least we have wifi! It feels pretty cool to just be sitting in this hotel room knowing that I am in London, this place is quite fantastic and I would love living here if I could ever afford it, but its pretty dang pricey, so I doubt that would ever be possible. Me and my mum have been attempting British accents while we are here, we are not very good, but getting better! It refreshing to see so many attractive men here! Who dress themselves very fashionably, its like all the hotties in the world hide out in Europe! But of course I think we all already knew that. :P well time to get on with it then loves, pictures!
